The Saab Eye Color Method™
Keratopigmentation — eye-colour change. The only practice offering it in Lebanon.
Available exclusively at our Beirut clinic
This procedure is performed only at CCE Hospital in Naccache. International patients are coordinated through the Office.
Overview
What the procedure is, in our words.
Keratopigmentation is the deposition of biocompatible pigment into the corneal stroma — a procedure that changes the apparent colour of the iris without operating on the iris itself.
We were among the first practices in MEA to adopt the technique and remain the only practice offering it in Lebanon today.
How it differs
Eye Color Change — how it differs.
| Trait | Standard | Dr. Saab's method |
|---|---|---|
| What is operated | Iris implants (high-risk). | The cornea — a precise femtosecond channel filled with biocompatible pigment. |
| Reversibility | None (implants). | Reversible via laser depigmentation. |
| Recovery | Long, with risk of glaucoma. | Cosmetic recovery in 24 hours. Visual recovery in days. |
A technique you can describe in a sentence — and a result you live with for a decade.
— Dr. Nader Saab

Questions
Questions worth answering.
When performed with certified medical-grade pigments and a precise, laser-assisted technique, keratopigmentation has a well-documented safety profile — the pigment sits within the corneal stroma, away from the visual axis, so vision itself is not affected. As with any procedure of this precision, outcomes depend heavily on surgeon experience and equipment quality, which is why Dr. Nader Saab performs every case personally, using certified pigments and femtosecond laser technology.
The pigment is intended to be permanent, so we treat the decision as a lasting one rather than a trial. If ever needed, uneven or unwanted pigment can in most cases be lightened or removed with further laser treatment — so a correction is possible, even if full reversal isn't the expected outcome.
Dr. Nader Saab performs every keratopigmentation personally rather than training associates to replicate it, which is why the procedure is offered from our Beirut clinic only. We have chosen precision and consistency over expanding to additional locations.
